Australia's
BEST YOGHURT
In 2003, a man opened a stall in the Adelaide Central Market. The idea was simple, share this incredible yoghurt he’d just discovered with as many people as possible!
That man was Australian businessman Simon Reynolds. And that stall would become the beginning of The Yoghurt Shop. Now one of the most popular and loved yoghurt brands in Australia, serving over 50 million tubs of yoghurt, and counting.
Today, fans across Australia and South East Asia can’t get enough of The Yoghurt Shop. The brand’s winning combination of hand-strained Greek yoghurt, topped with a variety of delicious toppings.

Where do you source your ingredients from? The Yoghurt Shop yoghurt is made right here in South Australia using fresh Australian milk sourced from local farmers. Since fruit supply is dependent on seasonal variation and environmental factors, we use a combination of local and imported sources to ensure our supply. These sources change depending on availability and where we can get high quality, affordable fruit from. Regardless of the source, the real fruit blends that we use with our yoghurt have been processed and pasteurised using heat treatment to ensure they are safe from bacterial and viral contamination. We have searched around the world to find only the best quality ingredients for our wide range of flavours. You can find the percentage of Australian Made ingredients for each flavour on our packaging.

What makes The Yoghurt Shop yoghurt different from regular yoghurt? We make our yoghurt the old fasioned way, never adding any thickeners or cream. We use a centuries-old straining method with cotton cheese cloths to remove excess liquid. Whilst most regular yoghurts require one cup of milk to make one cup of yoghurt, it takes three cups of milk to make one cup of Yoghurt Shop yoghurt! This is why it's is the thickest and creamiest yoghurt. The Yoghurt Shop yoghurt has at least two times more protein per serve than most regular yoghurts.

Why Choose The Yoghurt Shop? There are so many reasons to choose The Yoghurt Shop! Where should we start? The Yoghurt Shop yoghurt is a deliciously healthy food. The authentic cheese cloth straining process we use not only makes it rich and creamy but also boosts the protein content. Plus, it's Australian made & owned.

How do you pack so much protein into The Yoghurt Shop yoghurt? We strain our yoghurt, resulting in the 15-17g of protein you’ll find in every 190g cup. But that’s not the whole story… All yoghurt starts from the same classic recipe: you add cultures to milk and voila, you’ve created yoghurt. Here at The Yoghurt Shop we take it one step further. We use an authentic cotton cheese cloth straining process to remove excess liquid whey from our yoghurt, resulting in the most deliciously thick and creamy consistency. With its high protein content, The Yoghurt Shop is the perfect pre- or post-workout recovery fuel.

Can I freeze The Yoghurt Shop yoghurt?Yes, our yoghurt can be stored for up to three months in a freezer. While frozen, the live and active cultures present in our yoghurt become dormant. But once thawed, either in the refrigerator or by your body heat when eaten, they become live and active again. The yoghurt will have a slightly different texture, whether eaten frozen or thawed, but makes for a delicious refreshing treat.
-
Is The Yoghurt Shop yoghurt organic? Here at The Yoghurt Shop, our goal is to price our products so that everyone, regardless of income, can enjoy our high-quality, good-for-you yoghurt that also tastes delicious. As a result, The Yoghurt Shop yoghurt is not organic. Producing it as such would force us to raise our prices significantly, making our yoghurt accessible to fewer people.
-
What are “live and active cultures”?Live and Active Cultures are living organisms, or “cultures,” added to milk to make yoghurt. These are often called “starter cultures” because when added to milk, they convert the milk into yoghurt during fermentation. This fermentation process is what creates yoghurt, with its unique taste and texture.

I’m lactose intolerant. Can I eat The Yoghurt Shop yoghurt? As sensitivity to lactose varies by person, if you are lactose intolerant or have other dietary issues, you should consult your physician before changing your diet.
